​Sharp Consultancy is pleased to be partnering with a well-known local manufacturing organisation based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire on a brand-new Cost Accountant opportunity. Our client is a prominent name in the manufacturing sector that has developed a catalogue of trusted brands and strong industry partnerships.

The is a newly created role following an internal promotion and will report into a technically strong leader. The role is designed with progression into a Senior Business Partner opportunity and will take on line management of a small team.

In this position you will take ownership of Capex, stock and costing processes as well as support strategic business planning. This Cost Accountant role will be well suited to someone qualified with a strong manufacturing background who has considerable stock exposure and wants progression into a senior commercial position.

Benefits to include:

  • Salary between £60,000 - £70,000

  • Progression into a Senior FBP role

  • 2 days WFH (adaptable to business needs)

  • Flexible start and finish times

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and BAU inventory processes, including valuation, adjustments, write-offs

  • Oversee inventory counts across multiple sites and liaise with auditors during year-end.

  • Build strong relationships with commercial and operational teams to embed inventory management practices and improve control

  • Take full ownership of Capex reporting and governance

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified

  • Manufacturing background

  • Inventory / stock exposure
