Corporate Development Head of M&A

Job description

​Our client is a well established, fast growing, PE backed, SME based near Bradford.

To support their growth they are looking to recruit a Head of M&A to drive the delivery of the acquisition strategy from origination through to deal completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating potential merger and acquisition opportunities

  • Supervising and managing due diligence processes

  • Supporting commercial negotiations to secure Heads of terms and binding contractual agreements with interested parties

  • Working with the firm’s leadership team and PMO to ensure the successful integration of acquired entities into the firm

  • Managing and sequencing a pipeline and portfolio of opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions. You will need to be highly analytical, have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and be capable of seeing projects through to their completion.

You will need to be an effective independent worker whilst also being able to collaborate with cross functional teams and external advisors. Clearly a strong commercial mindset is essential, being able to manage deal structures, negotiations, commercial contracts with exceptional attention to detail.
