The cloud accounting function is gaining strong momentum this year, particularly in delivering high‑quality advisory support around “Making Tax Digital” initiatives. With new clients coming onboard and the integration of enhanced consultancy services, this firm continues to set itself apart in the region. This role will suit a newly ACA/ACCA‑qualified professional within the digital finance space who is seeking a bespoke growth path and the opportunity to shape a developing digital offering within a respected local practice.

 

Highlights to include:

  • Salary between £50,000 - £55,000

  • Hybrid working

  • Flexible start and finish times

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

  • Option to purchase additional leave

 

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Deliver high‑quality cloud accounting support and maximise clients’ use of digital finance tools

  • Provide tailored advisory services on “Making Tax Digital” (MTD) and ensure full digital compliance

  • Lead client onboarding including system setup, data migration, and cloud‑software training

  • Build strong client relationships, offering proactive guidance and identifying efficiency opportunities

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage

  • Streamline client finance processes, recommending automation and integrated digital solutions

  • Prepare management accounts, VAT returns, digital tax submissions, and other cloud‑based reports

  • Analyse financial data to highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Support team development by mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal digital‑knowledge sharing

  • Assist in developing the firm’s digital‑finance strategy, supporting service innovation and future team growth

 

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified

  • Cloud accounting experience with use of Xero, Sage, QuickBooks

  • Experience of working within Accountancy Practice
