Our client is a rapidly expanding, private equity backed business based in Leeds. Due to their continued growth they are looking to recruit a new Chief Financial Officer who will form part of the board and be responsible for supporting the financial infrastructure required for the business to achieve it's significant growth objectives. You will need to be a proven business leader with exceptional communication skills, commercial mindset, empathy and drive.

The role will be hands on, providing accurate and effective financial leadership across the business with key responsibilities including but not being limited to:
Ensuring smooth running of finances for the business
Ensure the business has the financial capacity to achieve it's objectives
Develop and deliver the strategic long term plan in line with the board to meet the investors objectives
Drive and support the development of a positive and supportive culture throughout the business.
Ensure the production of monthly management accounts and MI as required for both the business and external investors
Assist the executive team to achieve their goals and objectives by accurate financial insight and analysis
Development / replacement of the financial reporting system

The successful candidate will need to be:
*A qualified Accountant who are either ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
*Be able to demonstrate strong progression in their career to date
*A board level operator
*The ability to lead, manage and develop a finance team ensuring continuous professional development, driving improvements and standards.
*Demonstrate a strong technical competency in financial accounting and reporting whilst also being able to produce highly accurate and insightful monthly management accounts.
*Any experience in a fast paced, rapidly expanding business, setting up processes and systems is highly advantageous.
*Have a strong commercial instinct, capable of supporting the business on commercial decisions including investment appraisals and acquisitions.
*Demonstrate the exceptional communication skills and personal presentation required to operate and influence at Board level.
*Any experience of import / export finance is desired but not essential.

Experience of working in a PE backed business, delivering a successful exit, is essential as well as the talent, ability and drive to meet the required standards. Significant long term incentive plans are on offer for the right candidate.
