Sharp Consultancy are acting as the retained partner for a highly reputable client within the South Yorkshire region who are in need of a CFO to join the business as they embark on a key period in the next stage of the business's growth strategy.
Our client is a uniquely specialised business with strong market control and positioning offering a range of bespoke products which in turn generate strong profits and allows greater input towards project development with a strong R&D emphasis.
You will be reporting directly into the Board, which consists of investors and owner managers with a line responsibility to the CEO. You will have significant responsibility for the strategy and direction of the business as well as the drive to lead a strong finance team which includes a Controller, Finance Managers, Accountants, Analysts, Payroll, Ledgers, credit control and accounts assistants.
As well as the day-to-day duties of a CFO you will also take ownership of M&A activity, reporting improvements, cash control, tax compliance and professional support relationships.
The day-to-day duties will also include management and financial accounting, forecasting, and budgeting, monthly board meetings and reporting, profit and margin analysis, process developments as well as managing the year end audit process.
You must be a qualified accountant having worked within a number one role previously and ideally within a growth cycle setting for an owner managed or PE/VC backed business.
You will possess exceptional leadership and communication skills with the required gravitas to lead across the business at all levels.
