Sharp Consultancy is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established, family-run business based in the Doncaster area. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a reliable and trustworthy Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit finance team on a part-time basis, either three or four days.

 

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a candidate experienced in bookkeeping who is looking for a part-time role—perfect for fitting around lifestyle commitments or family life, including school runs.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Lead Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day finance function, supporting multiple smaller entities and contributing to the preparation of group accounts.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the finances of multiple small companies and feeding main accounts

  • Preparing monthly prepayment and accrual journals

  • Reconciling bank, petty cash etc

  • Producing and maintaining cashflow forecasts

  • Chasing outstanding payments, retentions and debtors on a weekly basis

  • Supporting with data entry and general finance administration

  • Acting as the first point of contact for finance-related enquiries

 

About You:

  • Qualified by experience with a solid background in bookkeeping within an SME environment

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Proactive, organised and solutions-focused

  • Hands-on, reliable and committed, with a positive “can-do” attitude
