A well-established company located in Wakefield are currently looking for a part time (20 hours) Accounts Assistant to join their Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and has a very strong permanent potential for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will work a reduced hour's working week of 20 hours and take full responsibility for the timely and accurate processing of bank transfers, cash allocation and bank reconciliations among other things.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

*Performing daily & weekly cash postings, running reports and reconciliations
*Working to resolve cash discrepancies that may arise on the reconciliations
*Support in the daily and weekly closing of the shorts and overs process
*Complete month end balance sheet reconciliations in line with agreed timetable
*Completion of weekly & monthly KPIs reporting
*Highlight areas of financial risk to management on a timely basis
*Focus on areas where the cash process can be standardised and simplified and work to the ethos of 'right first time'
*General administrative tasks
*Assisting with year-end audit
*Responding to Ad hoc queries from depots staff and management
*Flexible to cover other areas of the order to cash accounting and reporting process if required

You should have the following experience:

*Experienced in completing detailed bank reconciliation's
*Accurate and timely data processing with the ability to work to tight deadlines
*Good working knowledge and understanding of general ledger postings
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Effective written and verbal communication
*Good Microsoft Office skills specifically Outlook, Excel (intermediate) and Word (basic)
*Large company experience preferred
*Oracle experience preferred
*Work well as part of a team and on own initiative
*Flexible to potentially cover other areas of the order to cash accounting and reporting process if required
