Great opportunity to work for a reputable and widely known manufacturing business in the Barnsley area, working as an Accounts Assistant.

Sharp Consultancy are working with a reputable and widely known food manufacturing business of which are looking to make an addition to their team on a temporary basis. This company has seen a huge amount of growth over recent years, and so have recently undergone a restructure to develop the business and the team even further. They are on the lookout for someone who is ready to learn as well as able to apply their skillset to the business and to the team. You will be working alongside a large yet friendly finance function and will be reporting into the Transactional Finance Manager.

This role is due to conclude after approximately 6 months, however there is the possibility of gaining a permanent contract at the end of your temporary assignment. This is a fantastic role to strengthen your skills and gain further experience!

This role includes:
* Assisting with the maintenance of the Sales and Purchase Ledger functions
* Inputting invoices onto the system
* Producing sales invoices
* 3-way matching of invoices
* Conducting reconciliations
* Processing payments
* Performing credit checks and setting up new customers

Skills and experience:
* Experience working within a similar role.
* Ability to communicate well across a finance function
* Experience using Excel to an excellent standard
* AAT qualified or studying (beneficial not essential)
