Interim Group Management Accountant

There is an immediate opportunity for a Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Accountant to join our client based in Lincoln. The business is experiencing an exciting period of change throughout the organisation in particular, across finance. This is initially a 6 month interim commitment, with strong potential for a longer term / permanent appointment. The main purpose of the role is leading the team of management accountants, with responsibility for the preparation of the four weekly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, analysis, reporting and balance sheet judgements. This role offers hybrid remote working (min 3 days in the office) along with a flexible 39 hour working week.\

Scope of the role will include the following areas:
- Consolidating periodic trading results, offering continuous improvement to meet and exceed the needs of the business
- Ownership for key balance sheet judgements.
- Supporting internal controls, compliance and year end statutory audit processes.
- Leading and developing the team of Management Accountants, implementing best practice processes and driving a positive change culture.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to align financial goals with operational strategies and objectives.
- Analysis of results and monitoring these against agreed budgets and forecasts.
- Completing financial reviews and providing support for investment proposals.
- Contributing to strategic planning by providing financial insights, conducting scenario analysis and evaluating the financial viability of new initiatives etc.
- Leading on financial planning, including the creation of budgets and forecasts.
- Providing guidance and training to finance teams and / or operational colleagues on financial procedures, systems and best practices.
- Continuously reviewing and improving financial processes, reporting systems and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
- Taking ownership of keeping accountancy knowledge up to date, recognising any changes to legislation or processes.

You will be required to demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude to your work, as well as a flexibility in your approach and a strong Team focus. You will also be required to demonstrate strong technical accounting ability, good systems skills including strong excel knowledge and excellent communication.
