This is an immediate opportunity for a part qualified / Qualified / Qualified by experience Financial Accountant to join a business in the Education sector for a 3-to-4-month interim period to assist with the year end, The role will support an existing team and work closely with the Finance Business partner and Senior team - This role is fully remote working.
The key responsibility of the roles will include:
-Posting year end journals - financial year ends 31st July. Likely to include recharges, accruals / prepayments
-Capitalising fixed assets & closing the period in the fixed asset register, and updating the fixed asset balance sheet reconciliation
-Completing capital grant returns
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-Assisting with preparing UTC accounts (UTC financial year end is 31st August)
-Preparing information for external auditors ahead of year end audit in October
-Preparing subsidiary yearend financial statements
-Assisting with preparing yearend financial statements
The successful applicant will demonstrate experience in similar role, Education sector experience would be advantageous but not essential. You will also be required to demonstrate a flexible approach as well as strong accounting and systems skills.
