Interim Finance Manager - 14 month contract

Our client a hugely successful international operation has an interim opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Finance Manager to join them for an initial 14 month contract to cover maternity leave.

The role of Finance Manager is to produce and the control the accounting for various offices in the EMEA region. Assist in the development and maintenance of adequate controls and procedures.

Other key responsibilities will include;
*Preparation of monthly management accounts (e.g. creating, posting and reviewing journals, account code analysis and monitoring, preparation of the month end pack and other reports). Overseeing bank account reconciliations.
*Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the countries
*Oversee compliance including Payroll, VAT and other taxes. Also work with accountants and advisors in other countries.
*Supervision of the Finance Assistants, ensuring that process and procedures are both robust and efficient.
*Work with local Audit on the year-end statutory audits and other ad-hoc audits. This will include the preparation of financial statements for the country.
*Provide support to the Financial Controller and Finance Director as and when required.
*Work collaboratively to achieve results and process improvement

It would also be useful to have knowledge of UK taxes and exposure to overseas tax issues as well as strong excel skills. You will also have demonstrable ability to plan workload and ability to meet deadlines and prioritise own work and support the team where necessary to prioritise theirs, taking into account delivery expectations and agreed client service standards;
*Where required, acts as a point of contact to communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner to obtain information
*Supports strong client relationships by displaying professionalism and efficiency in appropriate communications as directed by management
*Undertake and deliver work within agreed timescales and service standards without being prompted
*Assist in the review/improvement of methods/procedures of managing day to day relationships

Demonstrable skills in the following area would also be desirable;
*Highly organised
*Good eye for detail with ability to analysis root causes of issues
*Excellent word and excel skills to intermediate standard
*A background/education in finance
*Able to act under instruction with limited management
