​Sharp Consultancy are proud to be partnering with a growing manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a key appointment offering genuine progression and the opportunity to step into a senior leadership role.

This position goes beyond traditional reporting. You will act as a true business partner, working closely with the Finance Director as the number two in finance, contributing to strategic decision-making and helping shape the direction of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts, budgets and reporting.

  • Providing insightful analysis and commentary to support business decisions.

  • Maintaining balance sheet integrity and overseeing reconciliations.

  • Owning and improving financial governance, controls and processes.

  • Monitoring cash-flow and ensuring the business is financially well-positioned.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong hands-on expertise.

  • Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.

  • Confident operating at management level with strong communication skills.

  • Experienced in forecasting, financial systems and governance.

  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, evolving SME environment.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to identify risks and implement solutions.

  • Capable of coaching and supporting colleagues across the business.
