Sharp Consultancy are working on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking engineering business based in Rotherham who are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their friendly and close-knit team.

The Role:

As a Junior Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing quotations for engineering projects. You will receive full training and ongoing support, making this an ideal role for someone eager to learn within a growing business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and customer quotations

  • Review engineering drawings and basic technical information

  • Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

  • Support calculations for materials, labour, and overheads

  • Maintain accurate estimating and pricing records

  • Assist with handovers to production and operations teams

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Some exposure to engineering, manufacturing, or a technical environment (desirable but not essential)

  • Previous office experience

  • Willingness to learn

  • Strong numerical skills and good attention to detail

  • Friendly, approachable, and a good team player

  • Positive attitude with a desire to develop long-term

  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
