As Credit Controller you will ensure that all customer debt is collected by its due date and in line with set company procedures.
You will be required to communicate to all customers and internal contacts to enable them to resolve any issues that may arise.
Duties will include:
*Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team
*Contact debtors through calls, emails or letters to notify them of outstanding invoice
*Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments
*proper management of debt
*Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations
*Maintain proper records of client accounts and purchasing activities
*Monitor payment history to identify changes in reparation and take necessary actions
*Conduct monthly reconciliation of debtor ledger accounts
*Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in outstanding balances
*Proffer recommendations and advice on queries regarding accounts receivable
*Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback
*Reconciling complex accounts by resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
*Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems
*Providing accounts information to internal departments to relevant client enquiries
*Processing and reconciliation of invoices
The ideal individual with display the following attributes
*Proven track record of Credit Control & cash collection
*Excellent telephone manner and writing skills
*Positive "can do" attitude
*Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
*Able to use Excel, ideally pivot table/VLOOKUP
*ICM qualification would be advantageous although not essential
