This is a full time, permanent position that has become available due to an expected retirement within the finance team and an internal promotion because of it.
Main duties:
-Sales Ledger: Maintain customer records, create invoices, and allocate remittances to customer accounts
-Purchase Ledger: Maintaining supplier records and ensure suppliers are paid correctly. Matching purchase orders to deliver notes and processing purchase invoices.
-Nominal Ledger: Monthly management information, as well as VAT returns and PAYE Submissions
-Bank Reconciliations
-Assisting with weekly and monthly Payroll
-Matching Purchase orders
-General Ad hoc office duties
Person Specification:
-Friendly, Amiable person who wants to work in a small but busy office
-A keen interest in developing a career in Finance
-Familiar with Microsoft packages as well as Sage Line 50(Preferred)
-Good telephone manner and confident speaker
-Good organisational skills
-GCSE grades A-C (4/5) In Maths and English (or Equivalent)
