We are delighted to be working with a fast-growing service provider in Rotherham on a brand-new recruitment assignment for a Head of Finance. The business has established themselves within their market providing specialist services within the healthcare industry to a range of organisations. The role of Head of Finance has been created following extensive growth over the past 5 years and will report directly into the Chief Operating Officer and support the wider finance function.

As Head of Finance, you will provide executive leadership in the strategic development, management and governance of the financial resources of the organisation, whilst working closely with the COO, wider finance team and budget holders.
This opportunity would be suitable for a qualified individual who is looking to take a step up within a public sector organisation and apply their full skillset to further the growth and development of the organisation.

Duties to include:
* Responsibility for the development of a strategic 3-year plan for the organisation
* Acting as finance lead for the organisation and point of contact for all audit activities, both internal and external
* Directing the professional management of the financial accounts, ensuring robust budget setting, management and controls are in place within the organisation
* Responsibility for redefining the organisations current approach to financial reporting via the automation of various elements
* Production of monthly statements for each budget holder, detailing accurate descriptions of business performance and variances in spending with commentary
* Ensure that all relevant policies, procedures and systems are in place to support the robust and reliable management of financial transactions, including invoicing, payments and the management of payroll and pensions
* Ensure appropriate controls, capacity and best practice in place for key operational and support functions across the organisation during internal audit
* Act as executive lead for the Finance Committee, providing the presentation of clear and accurate reports

Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Previous senior experience within finance
* Experience of financial planning and annual budget setting
