Working directly with the Finance Director and alongside a variety of senior stakeholders across the business; your role will blend both the financial and commercial elements of finance including:
* The role provides accounting support to the head-office, business growth and management teams. You will be responsible for delivering advise to the budget holders on project cost allocation and reporting requirements for their significant annual spend
* Providing accounting support to prepare monthly budget analysis, cashflow statements, aged creditors and aged debtors analysis.
* Advise on contract terms (invoicing, settlement) including engaging advisers.
* Supervising the junior accounting team to ensure successful development of the team
* Regular meetings with budget holders and other stakeholders to review budget performance and outstanding commitments and expected forecast spend.
* Preparing regular management reporting of corporate overhead. Update full year forecasts and other ad-hoc reporting required.
* Financial administration of the head-office entity: including VAT reporting, and corporation tax compliance. Supporting the Statutory Reporting requirements for the project entities. Answering audit queries including development project entities.
* Recharging costs to affiliates depending on financing and tax requirements.
* Ensuring the appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained. Reconciling project and head office bank accounts.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:
* CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
* Previous experience within audit/financial accounting within the profession OR Strong technical management accountant/financial accounting experience within fast paced dynamic organisations.
* Career focused and wanting to develop towards Financial Controller and beyond.
This would be an exceptional role for any ACA qualified looking to move into industry or a CIMA/ACCA accountant looking for a commercially focused role that will fast track to Commercial Finance Manager.
