The role is for a Management Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of exposure to commercial aspects of finance.
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Journal posting of revenue based on information provided by production and approved by Financial Controller/Finance Director
* Maintenance of asset registers and posting correct depreciation
* Inventory valuation
* Balance sheet reconciliations and month end close procedures
* Raise bank payments ready for review
* Review payroll reports and confirm that amendments agree back to changes approved by HR function.
* Upload net pay to the bank for review by the Head of Finance.
* Ensure all payroll related taxes and pension are paid on a timely basis
* Preparation of the VAT returns
* Maintenance of intercompany balances
* Provide variance analysis of actuals to budget, providing commentary in the monthly management accounts
* Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of statutory financial statements
* Liaise with external auditors and management of information required for audit work
* Produce cashflow forecast using actuals, activity v forecast report - on a quarterly basis
* Assist the Financial Controller and Finance Director in the preparation of reports/presentations to senior executives/board members
* Assist departmental managers to understand their financial data through forecasting and variance analysis
* Assist with the maintenance of financial systems, controls and reporting and implement improvements as and when needed
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
