Group Accounts Payable Manager
This group of companies are the largest independent business in their sector in the UK. With combined revenue approaching £250 million, the Group has over 50 sites and over 1300 employees.
The role of Group Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the Purchase Ledger function including the timely payment of supplier invoices, invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliation, ensuring complexed supplier queries are resolved in a timely manner.
The key to this appointment is someone to identify possible process, procedural and systems improvements and to implement positive changes.
Duties will include:
-Leading, motivating and manage a team of 9 accounts payable administrators (3 team members are based remotely), who are responsible for the timely processing of invoices, statement reconciliation and resolution of supplier queries, ensuring the end to end accounts payable function is managed efficiently and effectively
-Planning and prioritising the team's workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to
-Coaching and development the team, to ensure continual improvement, learning and development opportunities for the individuals
-Monthly ledger review
-Implementation of new processes/structures that will benefit the team, task and individual needs as well as adhering to set deadlines
-Creating and maintaining relationship both internally and externally with key stakeholders
-Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders
This is a full-time permanent role and is based in their offices in the heart of Sheffield.
