Working completely remotely in a standalone position and reporting into the Head of Finance you will take full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger function covering an interim fixed contract of 3 months.

The key aspects of the role are to ensure the management of key cost recognition processes including, accounts payable, payroll and capital expenditure. Key to the role is the ownership of the purchase invoice to payment process, ensuring accuracy of costs incurred and efficient settlement of supplier invoices.

Responsibilities and Duties to include:

*Daily processing of supplier invoices received and submission to management team for approval in line with delegated authorities
*Management of supplier invoice query resolution process
*Preparation of weekly/monthly proposed payment report and submission to Financial Controller for approval
*Monitoring of haulage costs, ensuring accuracy of freight invoices received and paid
*Preparation of the Northbound self-billing freight invoices and supporting documentation
*Processing of weekly wages and monthly salary journals
*Creation of sales invoices for contract labour based on time sheet submissions
*Provide holiday/sickness cover for time sheet input activities as required
*Assist Financial Controller with ad-hoc duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience

*Strong Purchase ledger experience in previous positions
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong time-management skills, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage workloads
*Self-motivated, have the ability to work remotely for the course of the contract
*Good excel knowledge
