We are thrilled to be working on an exclusive new recruitment assignment designed for a Financial Accountant. This is a rare opportunity for a candidate looking to make their first move from practice to expand their knowledge within a global service business whilst working towards / following the recent completion of their professional qualification.
The role of Financial Accountant has been newly created due to continued growth and will support the main division of the business with some indirect exposure across the wider subsidiaries. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role will predominantly include the full production of UK P+L statements, preparation of forecasts as well as assisting with the development of current reporting processes.
Duties will include:
* Prepare the monthly P&L for all UK businesses
* Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
* Preparation of the weekly sales forecast to allow for business planning
* Assist with maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
* Assist with developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
* Assist with developing financial systems, tools, and technologies to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and process efficiencies
* Assist with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
* Assist in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business
* Review and submit the VAT return in an accurate and timely manner
