Senior Management Accountant

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable organisation within the commercial sector as a Senior Management Accountant, becoming an integral part of an established and supportive finance team.

 

As a Senior Management Accountant in this team, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller where you will take ownership of providing key financial insights to inform commercial decisions, as well as ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of monthly and yearly Management Accounts. You will also support and mentor junior members of the team. The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ownership of the preparation of Monthly and Yearly Management Accounts

  • Leading on Forecasting and Budgeting processes in collaboration with the Financial Controller

  • Review and ownership of Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Detailed Variance Analysis with clear commentary for senior stakeholders

  • Board Level Reporting and presentation of financial performance

  • Supporting and mentoring junior finance team members

  • Driving process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function

  • Other Ad-Hoc duties when required

 

There will be opportunities for you to further progress within this company as you continue to develop your leadership capabilities and broaden your commercial exposure. You will gain full visibility of the finance function and play a key role in influencing strategic decision-making.

 

Ideally, you will be a fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with strong experience in Management Accounts and a proven track record of operating at a senior level within a finance team. You will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
