Senior Accountant

Job description

I’m working with a well-established accountancy practice in Doncaster that is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Senior Accountant. The firm has a solid and varied client base and offers a brilliant environment for someone looking to progress their career within practice.

The role will see you managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, taking responsibility for accounts and tax work while also acting as a key point of contact for clients. You’ll have plenty of client exposure and the opportunity to get involved beyond the core compliance work, including supporting clients with their wider accounting and business needs.

This would suit an experienced Semi Senior Accountant or Senior Accountant who is comfortable managing their own workload and client relationships and is now looking for a role where they can continue developing their technical knowledge whilst taking on more responsibility. AAT, ACCA or ACA study is welcomed, although QBE candidates will also be considered.

  • Building strong relationships with clients and providing day-to-day accounting support

  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional advice and services to clients

  • Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing their work where appropriate

  • Working closely with managers and directors on more complex client matters

Who You Are

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice

  • Comfortable managing a portfolio of clients

  • AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, or QBE
