Sales Ledger/Credit Controller

Due to an internal promotion and a retirement, there is a new opportunity to join a large market leading manufacturer based local to Whitby.

The company employees 400 staff across two sites in England and Ireland. The successful candidate will join an existing Finance team and will be responsible for the Sales Ledger/Credit control processing. This is a full-time office-based role.

Working alongside the Assistant Management Accountant and a finance team, the duties will include:

*Management of credit control function, including liaison with credit insurers, customers, and sales team colleagues on issues of sales account management
*Communication and resolution of problems such as overdue invoices ensuring detailed notes retained to aid timely outcomes
*Daily posting and allocating of receipts
*Distribution of customer invoices & statements
*Month end sales ledger reporting & reconciliations
*Providing an outstanding level of customer service and developing long-term customer relationships
*Management of overrider and rebate claims
*Assisting in other areas of finance as required



Ideally you will be:

*Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and be able to work in a small team.
*Capable of prioritising a busy workload
*A strong communicator and have an inquiring mind.
*Able to display previous experience in an accounts environment, in a similar role.

The salary for this role is up to £23,000. dependent upon experience, and you will receive a pension, 25 days holiday and bank holidays. In addition to this you will receive benefits such as staff discounts, free parking, development and support. The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week). You will also be working a great office environment with a fantastic team.
