A well-established organisation in York, North Yorkshire are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join the team on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will have responsibility for:

*Maintaining customer accounts within the designated credit limit and aged debt profile, identifying and requesting any additional limits required
*Posting and allocation of customer payments, reconciliation of unallocated payments, resolution of all queries and disputed invoices ensuring that the ledger is correct and up to date
*Assisting with new customer on-boarding.
*Uploading of sales invoices onto customer portals where necessary.
*Sending out monthly customer statements and addressing any resulting customer queries.
*Reconciliation of receivables finance bank account.
*Preparation of sales ledger input to short term cash flow forecasting.
*Other ad hoc duties as required including assisting with purchase ledger when necessary.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience working within a busy finance function but specifically enjoys the Sales Ledger aspects of the role.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:

*Having proven experience working within a sales ledger role.
*Self-motivated with a can-do attitude towards work and problem solving.
*Ability to form and maintain positive relations with those they work with and alongside.
*Thrive working under pressure and towards deadlines.
*Have strong communication skills and be a team player.
