Job description

Sharp Consultancy are recruiting a fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established organisation based in Leeds City Centre. This is a temporary position for an initial period of 3–6 months, offering hybrid working and an immediate start.

 

Working as part of a busy finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices

  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Handling supplier queries efficiently and professionally

  • Preparing payment runs

  • Maintaining accurate financial records

  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties

 

To be considered for this role:

  • Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers

  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
