Purchase Ledger Clerk

The Role

As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will join an established finance team and support the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, helping to ensure invoices, supplier accounts and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing and posting purchase invoices

• Matching and coding invoices

• Reconciling supplier statements

• Responding to supplier queries and resolving discrepancies

• Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts

• Preparing supplier payments

• Assisting with month-end processes and reconciliations

• Maintaining accurate financial records

• Supporting the wider finance team with additional duties where required

About You

We are looking for someone with previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience who enjoys working accurately, staying organised and being part of a supportive team.

You will ideally have:

• Previous Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable experience

• Good attention to detail and a consistent approach to accuracy

• Good numerical and organisational skills

• Clear and effective communication skills

• The ability to manage deadlines and organise your workload

• A dependable and collaborative approach to your work

• Good knowledge of Excel and finance systems

• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
