Project Finance Coordinator

​Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Project Finance Coordinator.

This is a hands-on role supporting projects from start to finish. You’ll track project performance, ensure costs are accurately recorded, assist with invoicing, and work closely with teams across the business — including spending time on the production floor to understand project progress.

What really matters is strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a contractor, production, or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track projects from initiation through to completion.

  • Investigate budget vs actual variances on projects.

  • Calculate and validate accrued and deferred project costs.

  • Prepare analysis and reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Review and report on retention balances.

  • Support month-end close processes.

  • Assist with project invoicing and charges.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and cost tracking.

About You:

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Confident working with teams on the production floor.

  • Experience in contracting, production, or manufacturing (desirable).

  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused.

  • Good Excel skills.

  • Finance background not required.
