A new opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a globally successful technology firm based in their head office in Harrogate. Due to expansion my client is looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist on a full-time permanent basis. Duties and responsibilities will include:

*Preparation of the monthly and biweekly payrolls for employees in 8 locations
*Payroll reconciliations and posting of nominal journals
*Calculation of commission reports
*Ensuring timely payment of the monthly PAYE/NI liabilities
*Acting as main point of contact for all employee pay related matters
*Main point of contact for the workplace pension scheme
*Review current processes & implement appropriate payroll software to bring payroll in house
*Co-ordinating with the HR department to ensure employee records are up to date and all new starter information is available
*Comply with all monthly and annual reporting payroll related reporting requirements to HMRC including preparation of P60, P13, P45, P11D
*Adhoc work & support to the accounts team as directed by line manager when not preparing payroll

Ideally you will have:

*Excellent knowledge of UK PAYE legislation & salary sacrifice schemes
*Proven ability in a similar commercial environment, with an in depth understanding of payroll practices
*Must have experience of managing global payrolls
*Strong team ethics and can demonstrate that you can work in a team environment as well as stand alone
*Excellent attention to detail
*Excellent knowledge of excel
*Must have experience of managing global payrolls
*Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet deadlines
