You will need to be a team player but also be able to work alone, you must be a confident communicator with people at all levels of the business and have a good basic knowledge of excel. You will have great attention to detail and be able to keep calm under pressure, quick to learn new things and be willing to roll up your sleeves and help out with other elements outside of your job remit.
Job Responsibilities
*Maintain comprehensive financial records including the preparation of the monthly and quarterly management accounts
*Assist in the preparation of the Society's monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts
*Prepare and submit financial and statutory returns to the regulator(s)
*Assist with the processing, recording and banking of all incoming cash, cheques and debit card/online payments
*Maintain debtors and creditors
*Assist the Financial Reporting Specialist with the preparation of the statutory annual audit and Accounts preparation
*Monitor cash flows and prepare subsequent budgets and reports
*Prepare a quarterly balance sheet report
*Prepare and submit the Society's VAT returns
*To pay supplier invoices in a timely manner and retain appropriate files and records
*Ad hoc duties
