​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be recruiting for a studying Management Accountant to join a fast-growing and ambitious group. This is a predominantly home-based role, with occasional travel across South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and Scotland.

This newly created position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with a qualified Finance Director and senior leadership team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality financial insight and supporting the continued growth of the business through acquisitions.

The role would suit a hands-on Management Accountant who enjoys supporting SME businesses within a larger group environment, while benefiting from the backing and opportunities of an international organisation where you can genuinely influence decision-making.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will support the finance functions across multiple SME businesses within the group, ensuring ledgers are accurate, controls are maintained, and reporting is delivered to the European group function in a timely manner.

You will play a key role in improving financial processes and reporting standards across the businesses, while supporting integration activity as the group continues to grow through acquisition.

Over time, the role will naturally evolve into a more commercial business partnering position, with the opportunity to recruit and manage a small finance team as the group expands further.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and reviewing monthly management accounts.

  • Supporting SME businesses across the group with finance processes and reporting.

  • Maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciliations, and financial controls.

  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Assisting with process improvements and integration of newly acquired businesses.

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites.

  • Supporting and developing junior finance staff as the team grows.

About You

  • Early stages of studies, part-qualified, or newly qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).

  • Strong management accounts experience gained within either practice or industry.

  • Comfortable working across multiple businesses and communicating with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.

  • Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress into a broader commercial finance role.

  • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff would be advantageous.
