 Sharp Consultancy are proud to be partnering with a growing healthcare organisation in Barnsley as they look to recruit a Management Accountant to join their established finance team.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting and provide meaningful insight to support operational and strategic decision making across the business.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Producing detailed variance analysis with clear commentary for senior management.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple departments.
  • Business partnering with operational managers to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Monitoring costs, analysing trends, and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Supporting cash flow reporting and financial planning activities.
  • Assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements.
  • Supporting process improvements and ad hoc finance projects where required.

 

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Be ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Have previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
  • Experience within healthcare, public sector, or care environments would be advantageous.
  • Be organised with strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the confidence to work closely with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and able to manage workloads effectively in a busy environment.

 

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary between £42,000 - £48,000 depending on experience.
