​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to have been retained as the recruitment partner for a leading UK manufacturer based in Sheffield, in their search for a standout Management Accountant. This role has come to market following an internal promotion, requiring someone who is hands on and keen to add value within a growing international business.

Our client is a market leading manufacturing specialist with a wealth of expertise. The business pride themselves on their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that have contributed to end-to-end creation of bespoke products, from design to development, supporting a range of industries including automotive and logistics.

This role is ideal for someone approaching the end of their studies or recently qualified who is looking for growth into a more senior position that can provide mentorship from an excellent experienced Financial Controller and ownership of key financial processes.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary between £50,000 - £55,000

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

  • Christmas Shutdown

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations.

  • Full production of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.

  • Presentation of monthly board packs to SMT.

  • Preparation of annual budget and supporting forecasting processes, reforecasting where necessary.

  • Overseeing cash flow and cash management processes.

  • Support executive level decision making to meet company objectives.

  • Preparation of year end accounts.

  • Responsibility for inventory and cost accounting.

  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns.
