Management Accountant

Job description

​We’re working with a well-established, global technology business based in Leeds to recruit an experienced Management Accountant. The company is a recognised market leader, highly acquisitive, with a strong footprint in its sector and a clear focus on innovation.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, providing meaningful insights to support decision-making, and partnering with key stakeholders across the business. You’ll also play an important part in driving process improvements, increasing visibility of performance, and supporting the ongoing growth of a fast-paced, international organisation.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.

  • Deliver variance analysis with clear, insightful commentary on performance.

  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting cycle.

  • Track and analyse costs, margins, and profitability across business units.

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.

  • Maintain and enhance financial controls and processes.

  • Provide support for audits and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Drive and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).

  • Proven experience in a management accounting role.

  • Strong analytical ability with the capacity to interpret and present financial data clearly.

  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience using ERP systems.

  • High attention to detail and strong time management, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Confident communicator, able to engage with and influence stakeholders across the business.
