Management Accountant

Job description

​We are partnering with a well-established and growing £30m turnover manufacturing business based in Wakefield to recruit an experience management accountant. Operating across multiple UK sites, the business is recognised for its strong market presence, commitment to quality, and focus on innovation.

This is a highly visible role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders, provide timely and accurate management accounts, and meaningful data analysis to influence decision making and business performance

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Preparation of monthly group management accounts.

  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments.

  • Stock valuation for monthly reporting.

  • Balance sheet and Intercompany reconciliations.

  • Cash-flow forecasting.

  • Quarterly UK and Polish VAT return preparation.

  • Management of fixed assets.

  • Corporation tax preparation support.

  • Business partnering support to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Support with year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation.

  • Provide support with Payroll processing.

  • Provider cover for Accounts Payable and Credit Control.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Strong management accounting experience.

  • Experience in manufacturing is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills translating data into actionable insights.

  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of var ERP experience is advantageous.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and motivated to drive improved business performance.
