Sharp Consultancy are currently working with a forward thinking, progressive company to appoint a Management Accountant into the team. They are a manufacturing SME based in Doncaster and have a strong reputation across South Yorkshire. They pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and winning repeat business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Management Accountant to support month-end processes and assist in operational finance activities. This is a growing company where you’d be working in a lovely team of 8, due to them being owned by a large group, the role offers stability where you’d report directly into the FD. As a Management Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role within the business and day to day finance operations.

What’s on offer:

£40,000 - £45,000 salary
25 holidays + 8 bank holidays
Study support available

Duties and responsibilities:

Complete month end activities including management accounts, reconciliations, journals, analysis and commentary.
Take ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Lead process changes, financial systems, software updates and internal controls.
Lead on operational expenditure, capital expenditure and accruals.
Ensure company compliance with tax obligations and deadlines.
Support audit process with external auditors.
Acting as a trusted business partner with operational and commercial teams.

Person specification:

Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting and general ledger principles.
Experienced in handling high-volume transactions.
This role is suitable for an active studier of ACCA/ACA/CIMA, or somebody QBE.
The role is also a great opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant looking for a step-up.
