Leading logistics business based in the Leeds area requires a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant to join their expanding accounts function in a newly created role. You will be responsible for the production of the weekly and monthly accounts. As well as producing financial reports, budget management and cash flow reporting. You will also be an integral part of the finance function and a key point of contact for several internal stakeholders. So your fantastic interpersonal communication skills will be needed.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
*Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
*Detailed overhead variance analysis.
*Communicating and liaising with the operations team to raise the profile of finance, ensure effective budgeting and cost control whilst helping to develop a thorough understanding of departmental results.
*Develop and improve effective KPI reporting to improve performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
*Ongoing development of management information including effective cost centre reporting.
*Preparation of forecasts, budgets and tenders for new business.
*Assist in the gathering of information on departmental costs.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

*Hold an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
*Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
*Up to date management accounting techniques.
*Autonomous decision maker able to take ownership and control.
*Advanced excel skills including the use of pivot tables and vlookup.
*Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
