Hugely successful service provider business based in Leeds City Centre currently require a Management Accountant join their finance division. Working in a well-established business, with an excellent support network and well experience finance team to help on your development as a Management Accountant.

The role is for a Management Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of exposure to all aspects of finance. They will provide huge scope for progression both parallel and vertical opportunities that will open during your time in this business.

The role has been newly created as the business embarks on the next stage of its development and growth through Private Equity investment.

Reporting directly into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

* Responsibility for performing the month-end and year-end close down of the financial ledgers
* Responsibility for monitoring the balance sheet reconciliation process, including preparation of certain reconciliations and the investigation and resolution of any issues
* Partnering with colleagues in Finance and across the business; acting as a point of contact, providing advice, support and direction in regarding the systems and the accounts
* Assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of balance sheet reporting and forecasting
* Monitoring the overall effectiveness of processes, making recommendations for improvements where/when necessary
* Analysing and reporting MI data in order to inform decision making
* Reporting of monthly capital expenditure and variance to forecasts
* Creation and posting of specific monthly general ledger journals
* Producing year-end balance sheet schedules to support statutory accounts disclosures
* Ad-hoc accounting projects

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

* ACCA/CIMA/AAT part qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
