A highly commercial, growing business in Harrogate requires an interim accountant to help support their complex year end process over the coming seven months.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Accountant, the role holder will have wide ranging responsibilities for the timely completion of the statutory accounts for a number of UK based holding and trading legal entities within the Group.
Main duties include:
*Delivering all agreed task aligned to the year-end timetable
*Liaising with external Auditors and responding to requests and queries
*Roll forward of all assigned statutory accounts and ensuring consistency, accuracy and completeness
*Co-ordinating all necessary activities with various internal departments to ensure required information is available
*Design, build and deliver relevant consolidation models
*Maintaining a full audit trail of information to support the statutory accounts
*Ideally an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
*Good IFRS technical knowledge
*Financial Services experience specifically in the Insurance Broking sector
*Good working knowledge of complex consolidation models
