A leading retail business based in Bradford is recruiting for an Interim Project Accountant to join their transformation projects team.
The main objective is to support, challenge, and control a key transitional project to outsource support of the IT infrastructure, whilst developing new processes and controls to support the changes in business operations. This requires active internal and external relationship building with responsibility for controlling the project budget, reporting on progress of the project against forecast, developing new financial processes to support outsourced activities and being the main finance contact to support the teams engaged in managing the transition. Key to the role will be the ability to adapt to the changes in the business throughout the transition period and implementing best practice from a finance perspective.
Ideally you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with previous experience of working on complex projects where you had to control costs and liaise with several stakeholders.
Good analytical, communication and Excel skills are a given and the role can be worked on a hybrid basis (2 days a week on site, 3 remote).
Initially this will be a 6-month contract to start straight away but it could lead to a longer term opportunity. This is a great opportunity to join a very successful business but please only apply if you are able to start at short notice and have the relevant experience.
