A large social housing provider in Leeds is seeking a fully qualified accountant for an exciting, newly created commercial finance role. Initially, this contract role will run for six months but could lead to a longer-term opportunity for the right person.

Headline tasks:
*Acting as financial partner to the Executive Director and overseeing the team that provides financial business partnering to the Development & Growth function.
*To provide input to the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring it is an agile strategic decision making tool, assisting in understanding and managing financial and treasury risks arising from its ambitious strategy.
*To oversee the preparation of individual development scheme appraisals, in accordance with the Group's development parameters, using Proval or equivalent development cash flow management tools & their combination into programmes for the entire Group.
*To present project, scheme and programme metrics & models, regular financial reporting on a periodic basis to the development team, the CDAP group and Boards and Committees as required.
*To provide a bridge between the Development & Growth teams to the Treasury team in respect of the management of future refinancing requirements and providing interim reviews to measure/review the impact on the financial plan to support Homes England funding bids.
*To be a key negotiating partner for any commercial JV/partnership structuring.

Candidates must be CCAB qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) and ideally have some previous social housing experience although this isn't essential. What is essential, is a proven record in the commercial / FP&A space, ideally experience of setting up such a team from scratch and working in a complex organisation.

Remote working options are available but the ideal candidate must be able to travel to the site several times each month for development meetings.

This is a rare opportunity to set up an FP&A function in an organisation that has ambitious plans to grow and develop.
