Our client has posted record results in the last 2 years and as a result are now entering the next stage of the groups growth plans and this appointment will be key to those plans.
The role will oversee the day-to-day finance function and you will be fully responsible for the large finance team and the overall performance of the operation. With a clear strategy for growth and funding in place you will also be pivotal to the commercial activities and providing in depth understanding for the non-finance business leaders.
This is by no means a 'similar industry-finance role' and will appeal to anyone looking to move for a challenge within a highly commercial and driven environment. You could be making your first step into a leadership role or this may be another similar role in your career to date but what will be key is your ability to lead a large team to provide excellent results whilst engaging key stakeholders and with full responsibility to the board and business owners.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, some of the main duties will include:
-Large team management
-Monthly reporting and management accounts process
-Year end and Audit process completion
-MI management and understanding of key finance information and its impact on the business plan
-Implementation of future acquisitions and development strategy
-Project management
-Planning and forecasting
-Implementation of robust and effective processes for the commercial finance function including any potential systems improvements or development
The ideal candidate must be a fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional body (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and be able to show and demonstrate high commercial awareness alongside strong accounting experience and technical skills. Ideally having experienced and been involved in change management within or leading a finance team.
This role requires a highly driven and focused leader, who is ready to challenge as well as transform and develop a large finance function.
