Group Accountant

Job description

​This is a great opportunity for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Management Accountant/Financial Accountant/Accountant to join a finance team at an exciting time in the company’s trajectory.

The Group Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance activities across multiple entities within the group. This role ensures accurate financial data, supports operational decision-making, and maintains strong financial controls across manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution functions. The main responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.

  • Manage group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations.

  • Support statutory accounts preparation and external audits.

  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.

  • Review performance across business units, focusing on cost control, margins, and efficiency.

  • Lead the group budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Monitor variances and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and internal policies.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting systems.

Ideally you will be a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with experience in Management Accounts/Financial Accounts or a similar role who is looking to further develop their skill set within Accounting.
