Financial Accountant

Job description

​We are partnering with a global industrial services organisation, headquartered in Bradford, to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth business with an international presence, offering excellent exposure to statutory accounting and external reporting within a dynamic environment.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely statutory accounts across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards while supporting the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Maintain accurate financial records ensuring strong controls across ledger and balance sheet.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX and oversee key areas i.e. tax, costing, and expenses.

  • Support month-end and year-end close, including journals and reporting.

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Liaise with auditors and provide required documentation.

  • Manage payments, budgets, and variance analysis.

  • Support budgeting, cash flow, and the wider finance team.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, but will consider QBE.

  • Strong understanding of statutory accounting and financial reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and technical accounting knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SoX).

  • Strong IT skills and experience of MS Excel and various ERPs.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders.
