Finance Manager / Controller

Job description

This is an rare opportunity within the charity sector for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant to join a finance team at a period of transition. This position will potentially have the scope to progress into the Finance Director within the next 3 years.

As the Finance Manager/Controller in this team, you will be reporting into the Finance Director delivering both the statutory and management information needs. The main duties of this role, but not limited to:

  • Preparing Monthly and Yearly Management Accounts for multiple entities.

  • Completing variance analysis and commentary.

  • Forecasting, Budgeting, and Financial Modeling.

  • Process and procedure improvement.

  • Manage month end process including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc.

  • Quarterly VAT returns.

  • Other Ad-Hoc duties when required.

As you develop in this role there is a potential succession plan to Finance Director and this will enable you to develop your skillset further. You will need to demonstrate ability at Board level and be part of the Executive Team. This is a hands-on role working with the FD and the accounts assistant to support the financial needs of the company

Ideally you will be qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with experience in Management Accounts/Financial Manager who is looking to further develop their skill set within Accounting.
