Finance Manager

Job description

​We are working with a global industrial services company, headquartered in South Leeds, to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, international business, offering valuable exposure to statutory accounting and external reporting in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate statutory accounts across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, while supporting the broader finance team. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a global business while developing your expertise in statutory reporting and finance operations.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Maintain accurate financial records with strong ledger and balance sheet controls.

  • Ensure compliance with SOx and oversee areas such as tax, costing, and expenses.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal postings and reporting.

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation.

  • Manage payments, budgets, and variance analysis.

  • Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and wider finance operations.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA (QBE candidates may also be considered).

  • Strong knowledge of statutory accounting and financial reporting.

  • Excellent technical accounting skills and attention to detail.

  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP systems.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
