We recently won a competitive recruitment tender with a key client across the region. Whilst our experience and market knowledge played a huge part, I genuinely believe the deciding factor was something much harder to replicate – trust. Winning the work was a fantastic result, but more importantly, it reinforced what I believe great recruitment is all about. Job description

Sharp Consultancy are exclusively working with a fantastic company who are a national leading specialist within their respective industry. Due to continued year on year growth, they’re looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join the team as the company enters their next phase of development.

As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director and have the chance to gain people management experience by managing a small team. Within the role you’ll be completing VAT Returns, Management Accounts and monitoring budgets & forecasting. This role offers fantastic development to contribute to strategic decision-making and options to implement cost saving initiatives.

They’re an SME with an annual turnover of £30mil with continuous ambitious growth. This role will be ideal for somebody who has hands on experience with month end processes, variance analysis against budgets and who’s open to working in a fast-paced environment.

What’s on offer:

£40,000 - £45,000
24 days + 8 BH
Free parking

Duties and responsibilities:

Full month end ownership – presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Identify and implement cost saving initiatives to maximise profitability
Influence strategic decision making by monitoring company performance and variances against budgets
Oversee a small finance team offering guidance and support where needed

Person specification:

Qualified by experience or Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Xero experience preferred
Commercially minded with experience of interpreting data
Experience of working collaboratively with finance and non-finance teams
