​Sharp Consultancy is delighted to be working with an award-winning, Sheffield-based manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This market-leading organisation boasts state-of-the-art, end-to-end manufacturing facilities and operates a high-value, project-led business model, delivering bespoke products nationally.

Following significant investment, a newly created Finance Business Partner role has been established to drive business performance and provide strategic financial insight across the organisation. The position will play a key role in supporting decision-making by reviewing, assessing, and constructively challenging performance, while identifying opportunities for profit improvement. The role also offers strong exposure to capex-intensive investment decisions and project-based revenue streams.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified candidate seeking to move into a more commercially focused role with broad stakeholder engagement. Prior experience within a manufacturing environment and exposure to project-based finance will be highly advantageous.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary between £55,000 - £60,000

  • Flexible Hours

  • Discretionary Bonus

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

  • 5% Employer pension contribution

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business, providing insight and challenge to support key decision-making

  • Drive business performance through proactive analysis of financial and operational data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Deliver commercial insight and recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall business performance

  • Partner with operational teams to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers, ensuring financial visibility across the production lifecycle

  • Lead the review, assessment, and challenge of business performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic targets

  • Identify and deliver profit improvement initiatives, working cross-functionally to enhance margins and operational efficiency

  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans

  • Provide robust financial modelling and scenario analysis to support investment decisions and business cases

  • Continuously seek to enhance reporting accuracy, insight, and value-add, supporting the company’s ongoing growth and investment plans

  • Monitor KPI performance and support the development of metrics that drive operational and financial improvement
