Finance Business Partner

Job description

​We are partnering with a well-established and growing £40m turnover manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a Finance Business Partner. Operating across multiple UK sites, this organisation is recognised for its strong market presence, commitment to quality, and focus on innovation.

This is a highly visible role within the finance team, offering the chance to work closely with operational leaders and drive commercial performance through insightful analysis and effective business partnering.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Partner with site and operational teams to support decision-making and improve financial performance

  • Analyse product and site-level costs to identify efficiency gains and margin improvement opportunities

  • Support pricing strategies, cost optimisation, and profitability analysis

  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning

  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and actionable insights

  • Monitor KPIs and cost drivers, identifying risks and opportunities across multiple manufacturing sites

  • Collaborate with site managers to challenge assumptions and enhance cost awareness and financial understanding

  • Support investment appraisals and business cases for capital expenditure

  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, costing processes, and financial controls

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Proven experience in commercial accounting or finance business partnering, with a strong focus on costing and margin management.

  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or multi-site operations is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate cost and performance data into actionable insights.

  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is advantageous.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and motivated to drive improved business performance.
