Finance Analyst

​Sharp Consultancy are working with a well-established, multi-site organisation in the North of England who are looking to grow their finance team. The business has a strong people-focused culture and offers a competitive benefits package including hybrid working and enhanced leave.

They are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to support senior stakeholders by providing financial insight and highlighting risks, opportunities and trends. This role offers the chance to improve processes, enhance reporting consistency, and collaborate across multiple teams.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with different teams to help with informed decision making, performance and improvements

  • Improve performance by improving workforce planning and operational efficiency

  • Analyse and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key performance insights

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to understand reporting needs and analytical requirements

  • Work cross-functionally with data and reporting teams to ensure reporting supports strategic objectives

  • Promote best practices and support consistent implementation across the organisation

  • Identify and resolve revenue issues and opportunities in collaboration with operations and finance teams

  • Support the Finance team in maximising revenue opportunities across all divisions

  • Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of costing processes across multiple legal entities

  • Provide analytical insight to support strategic and operational projects and initiatives

  • Present financial insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial performance through stronger processes, governance, and controls

  • Support the credit control function in resolving queries and outstanding balances related to commercial issues or operational matters in a timely manner

Person specification:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Commercially minded with experience of interpreting data

  • Experience of working collaboratively with finance and non-finance teams
